Information about the 22st Creative Tartelettes Contest

For the 22nd time, we are launching our HUG Creative Tartelettes Contest (CTC) – one of the oldest culinary competitions in Switzerland and a proven springboard for emerging talents. Are you a chef, pâtissier, baker, confectioner or chocolatier from Switzerland looking to showcase your skills? Then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

In the HUG Creative Tartelettes Contest, participants are required to create one starter and one dessert dish using the specified HUG tartelettes. For the first time ever, the 22nd edition is held under a specific theme: “Celebration”. The occasion is a special anniversary – we are celebrating 10 years of the “Filigrano Collection.” Accordingly, only Tartelettes from the “Filigrano Collection” may be used. These are distinguished by their exceptionally thin, delicate edges and offer plenty of scope for modern, elegant Tartelette creations. How does participation in the Creative Tartelettes Contest work?

Register for the Creative Tartelettes Contest by filling out and submitting the registration form (at the bottom of this page). You will then receive a registration confirmation by e-mail.

What happens after my registration?

  • Delivery of sample box with tartelettes and specifications for the competition (from March 2026).
  • You create your recipes for two plates in accordance with our specifications: an appetizer plate and a dessert plate.
  • You send us your creations to ctc@hug-familie.ch by Monday, August 24, 2026.
  • We will confirm your entry.
  • The jury will select 5 finalists per category (apprentices/trainees) in September 2026.
  • You will be informed immediately if you can take part in the final.
  • Cheer up if you didn’t quite make it: A great consolation prize awaits you.
  • For finalists: Live cooking in front of the jury on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at Richemont, Lucerne.
